Recently published lists the most recent events that have been published on the site. These events might have actually taken place ten years ago, but the feed lists them in the order that users publish them on this site.
Recent events lists the most recent events by when they actually happened. If something happened today, it'll be at the top of this feed, even though it might have been put on the site a really long time ago. This one will be less useful for most people, since it might not change very much, even if lots of events are being published.
The tag feed allows you to get a feed of events for a specific tag, listed by when they were published. So if you want to see everything tagged with "foo" on the site as it gets published, you'd type "foo" into this search box and subscribe to the resulting feed:
