Backspace

Post Happened on 06/18/1999, history by Ionnek

Backspace opened in spring 1996 and closed late December 1999. The media center for J18th in London was set up in Backspace. After J18th, a newly formed "Reclaim the Streets media group" met in Backspace a few times, then transformed into the first imc uk collective. The people who ran Backspace continue to support indymedia uk with all sorts of tech facilities.
