imc-uk mailing list started on global imc listserver

[imc-uk] was the first imc uk mailing list on the global indymedia list server. Although the first posting was sent in September 2000, the list only really started to be used in March 2001.

Much of the history of imc uk can be found on dozens of mailing lists. Before using the global imc list server, the London-based collective communicated through an <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EGroups">egroups</a> mailing list. The new list was set up after egroups was sold to yahoo.com.

imc-uk at lists.indymedia.org is an publicly archived, open mailing list for all public communication with and within the collective. Later, mailing lists for specific tasks were set up.
